OBJECTIVE
The main objective of the Upward Bound Program at SUNY Buffalo State is to generate the skills and motivation necessary for students to complete secondary education and enter and succeed in a program of postsecondary education.
We achieve this by focusing on four major areas:
Study Skills and Development
-To hone necessary academic skills
College Preparation
-To guide participants through the process of decision making, planning and postsecondary enrollment.
Career Introduction
-To generate critical thinking of career and business options
Social/Cultural Enrichment
-To develop communications skills and increase experiences

SUNY Buffalo State Upward Bound Program is approved to service the following Buffalo Public High Schools: McKinley Vocational High School, Lafayette High School and East High School.
